12/08/14 Boca Raton Fishing Report: For this week’s fishing report we are starting to see a Winter pattern set in as water temperatures are dropping in the backcountry areas. The snook are becoming harder and harder to find with cooler water temps and less rainfall, but the tarpon fishing is just beginning to heat up in the intracoastal waterway. While using live bait we were able to jump two small tarpon in the Boynton Beach area last week. There has been no shortage of jack crevalle, and we have been releasing at least a dozen per trip. Other exotic species caught this week were sunshine bass, and barracuda. The snook fishing will only be good during warm periods in between fronts, but the tarpon fishing should continue to improve over the next couple weeks.
