On the offshore boat, we have been having good action a mile offshore with sailfish and Mahi Mahi showing up well around the cold fronts. In between the cold fronts, wahoo have been showing up in fair numbers. Trolling has been the best bet on the wahoo and Mahi Mahi, while live bait has been taking the sailfish.
On the flats boat, we have been finding good numbers of sheepshead showing up around shallow flats, with jacks and the occasional snook also presenting good sight fishing opportunities. The fishing for sunshine bass has also started heating up in Lake Ida as water temps fall. Clown knife fish, snakeheads, and peacock bass continue to bite during warmer periods on the lake as well.
