12/08/14 Boca Raton Fishing Report: For this week’s fishing report we are starting to see a Winter pattern set in as water temperatures are dropping in the backcountry areas. The snook are becoming harder and harder to find with cooler water temps and less rainfall, but the tarpon fishing is just beginning to heat up in the intracoastal waterway. While using live bait we were able to jump two small tarpon in the Boynton Beach area last week. There has been no shortage of jack crevalle, and we have been releasing at least a dozen per trip. Other exotic species caught this week were sunshine bass, and barracuda. The snook fishing will only be good during warm periods in between fronts, but the tarpon fishing should continue to improve over the next couple weeks. Call us to book a Boca Raton fishing charter today at 561-451-7646.
(07/14/14) Boca Raton Fishing Report: Kingfish And Snapper Fishing Heats Up With The Weather
Boca Raton Fishing Report: Summer is in full swing and we are seeing decent fishing for smoker kingfish and yellowtail snapper as we reach the mid point in July. The kingfish have been biting best in 100 feet of water during the early morning and late afternoon hours. The best bait for the big king mackerel has been live pilchards or dead sardines on the drift. The snapper are feeding in the same depths, falling victim to live pilchards or dead sardines fished near the bottom on the outside of the reef. There have been plenty of false albacore (bonito) biting as well.
Boca Raton July Fishing Forecast: As we approach the inevitable mid-Summer heat wave we can expect the fishing for kingfish and snapper to slowly pick up during the early morning and late afternoon hours. Drifting with dead sardines or live pilchards will get the most bites, but chicken rigs with squid for bait can also produce decent snapper, porgie, and triggerfish action as the month continues. If you plan on booking a trip with us, we definitely recommend early mornings as the afternoons will bring intense heat and thunderstorms.

Boca Raton Fishing Report: Big Blackfin Tuna And Dolphin Biting Offshore, Snook And Tarpon Inshore
Boca Raton Fishing Report: Our customers on the “Billy Goat” have been experiencing great live bait fishing offshore for big blackfin tuna, sailfish, dolphin, kingfish, false albacore, and the occasional cobia. The best fishing for all of these species has been in depths of 80 to 120 feet where a strong North current is running. This past week the best bite was during and right after high tide.
Trolling has been decent for schoolie sized dolphin and kingfish, with the occasional football blackfin tuna being brought back to the dock during our Boca Raton fishing charters. The best trolling baits have been fresh bonito strips, but ballyhoo have been working when fished way behind the boat. Drone spoons also do very well this time of year.
Inshore charters have been on fire for snook and tarpon in the Boca Raton inlet and Lake Boca area. The best baits for both these species is undoubtedly live pilchards right now. Both species are catch and release only, but sportfishing enthusiasts travel from around the world to experience this world class fishing for these exciting two gamefish right now. We will be offering both inshore and offshore fishing trips in Boca Raton all Summer long, so give us a ring today to book! Also, we are offering a 20% discount for using the exciting new virtual currency Bitcoin to pay for their trip. The biggest king mackerel of the year will be moving through in a week or so, and the best way to catch them is by kite fishing during our Boca Raton fishing charters. (01/06/14) Boca Raton Fishing Report: Tarpon And Jacks Biting For Inshore Charters
Boca Raton Fishing Report: Our customers have been experiencing an awesome inshore bite for tarpon and jack crevalle this week as high winds and heavy seas have kept us from going offshore. We have been tracking a decent size school of tarpon in the intracoastal waterway, and they have been biting for us very good when the tides are moving and the sky is overcast. The tarpon fishing in the Boca Raton area can be phenomenal this time of year, and beginning to expert anglers are having a blast hooking into these acrobatic inshore gamefish. In our last 2 inshore charters we hooked 7 tarpon and landed 3 of them. Jack crevalles have been offering plenty of action in between tarpon bites. To book one of our Boca Raton fishing charters for tarpon and jack, give us a call today!

(12/22/13) Boca Raton Fishing Report- Inshore Charters Are Producing Big Jack Crevalle
(12/22/13) Boca Raton Fishing Report- Even though the hard winds and big waves have prevented us from offshore fishing this week, we have been able to get into some great inshore fishing for jack crevasse and mangrove snapper over the past week. The intracoastal fishing in Boca Raton can be quite good this time of year. These photos were taken from a 4 hour inshore fishing charter in Boca Raton on Sunday…Call me to book a trip today!
Sailfish and Wahoo are Biting off Boca Raton!
Offshore Fishing Report: The fishing has reached a transitional period for the offshore waters of Boca Raton. We are still catching many of the same species that we were seeing during the heart of the Summer months with a few of the fall species mixed in as well. The most action has come from kingfish and wahoo, but there are still some quality catches of mahi mahi coming in on a weekly basis for our Boca Raton fishing charters. The majority of our fish have been taken while using live baits such as pilchards, spanish sardines, goggle eyes,a nd blue runners. We like to drift with our live baits when there is a bit of a breeze blowing…this allows us to cover more water while at the same time deploying fishing kites on the opposite side of the boat to keep a few of the live baits on the surface. On the side without the kites, or windward side of the boat, we like to stagger our live baits using different sized weights. The weighted baits tend to get more strikes from kingfish, wahoo, and amberjack, while the kite baits tend to get more bites with sailfish and mahi mahi. This is also a great time of year to catch a mutton snapper on one of our Boca Raton fishing charters. The mutton snappers make for excellent table fare, and they can be fooled by using dead sardines fished near the bottom in the same areas where we are catching kingfish farther up in the water column. Regardless of which species is biting on any given day, we are having no problem keeping the rods bent on our offshore fishing charters in Boca Raton this month!
Inshore Fishing: On the inshore front, we are seeing a transition occur. The schools of small pilchards and spanish sardines that have been present along Boca Raton beaches have started to thin out and we are starting to see schools of silver mullet move Southward in their place. This is an exciting time of year for fishermen aboard our inshore fishing charters because there are plenty of opportunities to hook into glamorous species such as tarpon and snook. The tarpon have been best during the early morning hours around piers and the mouths of the inlets near Boca Raton beaches. These tarpon will offer a challenge to fly fishing anglers, but live baiters will have it a bit easier throwing live pilchards at them. The snook are about finished spawning, which means that they will be on the hunt for baitfish in preparation for fattening up for the cooler months ahead. This is why it is such a great time to target these two species this time of year on our inshore Boca Raton fishing charters.
Swordfish Fishing Report: This is it guys…the best swordfishing of the year is upon us. Anglers venturing out of Boca Raton in search for broadbill swordfish are experiencing another great run of big fish this year. The best time to catch one on one of our Boca Raton fishing charters is near the full moon, but these gladiators of the sea can be caught at any given time for those willing to venture 15 miles offshore. Daytime swordfishing has been most productive for the biggest specimens, but there has been plenty of action for the night time swordfishermen as well. Our Boca Raton Swordfishing charters cannot guarantee you fish, but they give you an excellent chance at catching that fish of a lifetime. Call me today to book your trip!
